Tiaras and Trinkets on Tuesday (Arcwhite/Bismarck)

Let's discuss tiaras and other jewellery of Royalty on Tuesdays. Tiaras and crowns are two of my favourite topics. I simply find them fascinating.

Bigger isn't always better but it does always impress, whether in a good way or a bad way. On the left we have Lady Arcwhite wearing her very imposing diamond tiara. A modern creation alluding to antique Ruskian design, was obviously worn to make a statement. Here she is seen at the Heads of the Royal Houses Banquet held in February 2012. She brushed shoulders with the wealthiest and most powerful Royals so obviously needed to look the part herself. Lady Arcwhite is not a small player at all and there are many infamous rumours about her and the small island chain she rules. She combines the huge Perlistani diamond necklace with her tiara. This very famous necklace she acquired from the Shahbanou of Perlistan, exiled after the Bloody Revolution toppled that monarchy.

On the right is the Countess von Bismarck who's husband is the pretender to the Syldav throne. Syldavia has recently proposed a referendum to restore the monarchy. So we might see that happen like it did in Normandia last year. The Countess is wearing the von Bismarck sapphire tiara and necklace.

An old sepia photograph from the archives of the jewellery firm who made the Perlistani Diamond Necklace in the 1960's.

There will be a galaxy of glitz to explore here on a Tuesday as we uncover the treasure chests of the Royals.
