What's Up Wednesday (Arcwhite State Visit to Swann)

Lady Arcwhite has been one of very few to have often made headlines recently and the only other Royal giving her a run for her money has been the Duke of Swann who also has seen much publicity in the last few weeks. To top it all the two are featured together in today's post. On Friday the 6th of Sept, Lady Arcwhite arrived in Swann for her belated two day long State Visit. The first Arcwhite Head of State to set foot on Swanobian soil for over 600 years, Lady Arcwhite accepted the friendly welcome in response to the Duke of Swann's State Vistit in 2012. Friendly relations have been cemented by the 2012 Treaty of Avalon and a long overdue State Visit to Swann was delayed even further by the recent tragic death of Empress Crystobel.

The unmistakable State Airplane carrying Lady Arcwhite cuts through Swanobian airspace as it came in for its landing.

Lady Arcwhite was welcomed officially by the Duke of Swann's personal secretary and then ushered to a short press conference. From there Lady Arcwhite was taken under high security to the Royal Palace for the State Banquet where she was to meet with the Duke of Swann for the first time on this trip. Some protests from far right groups who are against the new treaty did occur on the way to the palace.

The State Banquet in celebration of Lady Arcwhite's visit was held in the Great Hall of Duke's Court Palace, the Duke of Swann's official residence. Extensive photo opportunities and a press conference was allowed just before the guests were seated to dinner.

The preeminent attendees at the banquet, the Duke of Swann and his guest of honour, Lady Arcwhite both looked the part in accordance with their status. The dress code was formal but not 'ball gown" level.

Other guests included the Duke of Swann's sister and her fiance and Lady Arcwhite was accompanied by her niece Drealle Mormaer.

The table setting for the host the Duke of Swann used the very famous and historic Swann Cutlery. The solid silver service embellished with crowns is an official part of the Swanobian Crown Jewels.

The Arch Duke Otto Von Fulco D'Este with his fiance Princess Marie-Elizabeth of Swann symbolically wearing jewellery from the collection of her future husband.

Lady Arcwhite cut a stark figure as is her style wearing her imposing tiara paired with a suite of black diamonds.

The full compliment of guests, as usual pose for a press group photo just before dinner. With this the process of friendship has been totally formalized between Swann and Arcwhite. Hopefully for the good.
