Princess Donatella of Romagna has followed like many other pretenders this year in releasing an official portrait. These portraits all follow the current wave of Royal popularity, linking the historic past with the contemporary Renaissance.
Here we see Her Royal Highness sporting historic jewels, Royal Crest and is photographed with the Throne of Romagna. The portrait was taken in the DiGiorgio Palace Museum in Romagna by special permission.
The Princess wears the Corvi Cameo Tiara inherited from her Corvi Committal ancestors along with Romagnian Royal Diamonds.
The Duchess DiGiorgio is truly beautiful. Pity that cordiality between her and Reichental could not be established, as the last time that Grand Duke Lothair tried to befriend her she told the Duke of Swann that she is afraid of people being "after her money". AS if Grand Duke Lothair needs any more of that.
ReplyDeleteNevertheless it is a beautiful setting and the throne - oh my! Comes from REICHENTAL - figures!
May the Princess see her heritage restored in full glory! She certainly LOOKS the part!
As for the princess's jewels and outfit. She is a style icon. Where does the jewels originate from? Were they always in her family's possession?
ReplyDeleteVery seldom that we see cameo's - must be exquisitely expensive. And perhaps its historical value is more than what money could ever buy!
ReplyDeleteThank you for the comments James. The jewels will be featured in a Tiaras and Trinkets post somewhere in the future.
